REAL HIP HOP SHOW INTERVIEW

THE L.E.F.T (BASH BROS)

1/ Hi LEFT MC, Welcome on The Real Hip Hop Show Interview. Please let's explain us who is THE L.E.F.T & THE BASH BROS.

Thank you for having me the pleasure is mine. It's The L.E.F.T. aka Lefty I'm one half of the Bay Area crew Bash Bros. which consists of Piseas & myself. We do hip hop music for the people who count...the listeners!

2/ You are the first West Coast Artist interviewed on the Real Hip Hip Hop Show... How is The Hip Hop in the est Coast Area ?
It's an honor to be the first, shit no one can take that away from ya'boy. Yeah Hip hop on the West Coast is alive & well. From the Bay to LA we have the most diverse musical landscape in hip hop.

3/
Could your describe your style of rap and do you think that you are influenced by this west coast vibe ?

My style is street straight up...i spit it how i feel & give a fuck what the rest think, that's why people feel what the Bash Bros is about. I've definitely been influenced by the West Coast movement...shit I'm from the era of originality. That's what the West Coast showed me. From E-40 to Freestyle fellowship "do you" don't wait for no one to approve you or put you out!

4/ What's your influences as mc's, dj's,producers...
I put influences in the same category as inspiration, inspiration as in when i hear these cats lay a verse it makes me want to get on the mic & make my mark...sit at the table with them. It ranges from Guru, Tupac, Del, Bun B, Scarface it goes on & on i just love this hip hop shit. I was raised on it, it's in my blood. My favorite DJ is DJ Drama, i got a few producers i like Mannie fresh is one, Timberland is another...really just to many to mention, they just got to have their own sound ya'dig.

5/ In France, there is  2 differents styles of Rap, 2 differents regions... The north with Paris and the south with Marseille. We often heard about a war between LA and NY... What could you say about it and do you think that there is really a difference between these 2 sides.

There's a difference fo'sho, a war no...i mean hip hop is competive but to be at war with each other would be genocide. Hip hop is about being a product of your enviornment & cats take a lot of pride in that just as i do & with that thought in mind you got to know that styles is gonna range, different regions have different tempos. Shit just look at it in the states the south moves it a whole different way then NY does & the Bay for that matter don't even do it like the folks that be in Los Angeles but it's all Hip Hop you feel me!

6/ Would you say a few lines, how do you start in Hip Hop, to talk about your experience, your past projects, shows...
I started how i feel you should start, thats spitten rhymes in the street before you take it to the studio. Getting out there & finding yourself. Freestyle, work on learning how to make songs. Understanding & respecting the culture. We started putting tapes out in 1999 hitting the block & selling them things for $5 a pop. Then we started doing as many shows as we could...ain't much change except the level we execute our vision

7/ What could you say about Your double album. "A good day to die - Dirty work"
The double album i just can't say enough about it, it's an experience...it's a new sound to hip hop. It's a solo record from each member. My record being "Dirty work" & Piseas record being "A good day to die". It give the whole scope of what we represent. You just can't beat that.

8/ Why did you do the choice of a double album ?
We did a double album to remind people that the most important thing to us is that we know how to stand as indivudual men. We ride for one movement which is Bash Bros but we can stand as some grown-ass men on our own. On the other side of it, it was a way to separate ourselves from the rest & thats important.

9/ The single with Planet asia is a hit, i like so much this song. What you could you say about this collaboration and the features in your album. ?
Thank you for that, that means a lot to see a respected DJ such as yourself react to that. Lets us know that we doing it right. The collaboration was easy...real fuck with real ya'dig. The other features were the same, we fucked with Scarub of the Living Legends, Shingo2, 2mex & other dope emcees that we highly respect. Its just that simple we fuck with those who be getting it like we get it...just grinders

10/ What's your projects for the future and your ambitions ?
Projects for the future would be the next Bash Bros record which is titled "Main Event" we already 90% done with the record. We looking at the first half of 2008 to drop it. We taking it bigger we going to set a new standard, doing it how it should be done. Ambitions range from clothing sponsor ships to being involved in all aspects of the entertainment industry. Sky's the limit!

11/ What could you add for the people, fans, friends, family..  if you have any promotion or request, let's do it here. Big thanks for the interview.
