1/ hi Fam, Could you introduce who are Jak Danielz & J Walker ?

We are Cold Heat. Two of the hungriest hip hop bred Italian kids from queens you have ever met!!!!!!! Three of the hungriest when Dj JS1 is present.

2/ How & When did you start to rap ?  

About 14 years ago at Astoria Park in Queens with my right hand man and family Big Cat Eyes. I started off just freestylin and fukin around! I recorded a lot of drunk neighborhood bullshit until like 2000 when I linked up with John for the first time rand stated taken this shit for real!

3/ you formed the Crew Cold Heat. What is exactly this crew and who be part of this organisation ?

 Cold Heat is Jak D and Jay W. Our Dj is the Legandary DJ JS 1. We work closely with all sorts of people across the globe. If you with you with us. Cold Heat Stand Da Fuk UP!!!!

4/ You work with Sadat, Craig G, DJ JS1 (member of the Rock steady Crew) and you work with many pionners, people who represent the original Hip Hop, the oldschool ... what could you say to the people to talk about your style of music and why you continue to keep this golden years Hip hop alive ?  

 We make music as we feel it. John will give me a beat ill write and we record. We don't try for a specific sound although its easy to recognize our influences

5/ I'm an adept of this Original Hip Hop but i know that like in France, Europe... In The USA, many people like some different & commercial music like dirty south, Crunk... Is it difficult for you to have a lot of fans and listeners of your music ?

We make music for people. We feel our sound is universal and appeals to all!! We never try and cater to a certain crowd we just try to make good music!

6/What could you say to the people to defend your original music and to come to buy your albums, to come to see your shows ?

 We love and deeply appreciate our fans all over the world. We cherish your support! Keep hip hop alive by supporting a variety. There has to be more balance.

7/ Your Album "BAR HOPPIN" was dropped on BomB record some month ago, what could you say about this project, features....  

This was our first independent album release as Cold Heat. We also have several previous releases and features on other albums as well. Jay W did most of the production with guest spots from DJ JS1, E Blaze and Ric Budo. It features appearences from Buckshot of Blackmoon, Sadat X of Brand Nubian, Craig G Of the Juice Crew, Godfather III of Infamous Mobb, Bekay , Sr Nbk, Lord Roc of Skygod, Dj Ody Roc, Dj Butch Roc of Capone and Nore. It was a well put together album which received rave reviews.

8/ I know that you work with Marco Polo, Large Pro & many other great people on some New projects and that you released some 12"... what could you say about this projects and who are the people who'll collabore with you & Cold Heat ?

The project will probably be on shelves by the time you post this interview. It is a Cold Heat/ Ground Original Vinyl project being released through Fat Beats Records. It features production fom Jay w, Large Pro, Marco Polo, and The Beat Miners. It features Jak D, Sean Price, Oc, and Craig G. The single includes four songs and instrumentals. It's a classic.

9/ You released some vinyls and it's very rare today to find this format with the MP3's...You work a lot with dj's like DJ JS-1 and some other legendary Dj's, So you keep the DJ Alive, Why is it important for you and What represent the Dj, the vinyl, in Your Hip Hop Culture ?

 There is no Hip Hop without the Dj period!!!! We need to keep real Djs in the public eye by supporting the movement. Fuk a Dj that cant scratch and cut at the very least!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

10/ We understood that the Original Hip Hop is really your Lifestyle, from Graffities to Mceeing, deejaying and bboying... Have yo u a message to the kids, new generation of Hip Hop mc's, dj's... who don't know what is the real spirit of this culture ?

Everything evolves but remember never to stray too far from the roots. Just cause mtv doesn't play hip hop doesn't mean there isn't great hip hop all over the world. The internet makes it real easy to find.

11/ You are 2, Jak D & J Walker ...How do you work together to create your music, in live shows...? how do you do for your street promotion.... ?  

We are always in the streets running around like maniacs so that's easy. We have been rockin shows together for so long that its like second nature. We know each other that well. Every time we record it's the samething . Not only does john produce he also engineers all sessions.

12/ You performed in my Project "KINGS FROM QUEENS". What could you say to the people about this project and this collaboration with a french Hip Hop dj ?

If I didn't know you were French I would have sworn you were from Queens. That cd still gets burn in my deck. Its an amazing callabo of so many ill emcees. I wish more djs in the states would put together cds like that!

13/ Do you think that you'll be interested to perform on the Second Chapter ? Absolutely! 14/ Cold Heat is a Big Family and i know you are Italian, a country where the family is very important.... what could you say about your QUEENS hood and about the italian Culture in this borough ?

If you have seen mob movies then you have seen stories based on these areas we represent. Italian culture plays a big part in our daily lives.

15/ Could you add some lines to shout out your fans, friends ...if you have any message to promote your projects...

 Shout out to the whole world. Do your own thing and forget about what these internet critics think. Fuk em they could never walk a day in my shoes. Its Cold Heat !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
