"My man and partner-in-rhyme Triplebeam made up the name. It stuck because I
was playing drums in our band."
2/ Where do you come From ?
"Perth Amboy, New Jersey."
3/ When did you start to rap and did you practice an other element of the Hip Hop Culture before ?
I wasn't too good and break dancing. I was a DJ for quite some time, and my first arrest was for tagging. I starting writing poetry in the forth grade and rapping in the fifth
4/ I like so much your music because you are an artist with great songs like some 90's classics...are the golden years an influence for you ?
Definately
5/ What's your Favorite mc, producer & dj ?
Way to many to mention.
6/ What is your model in your life ?
Don't say it - play it.
7/ How do you work to create your tracks, to write your lyrics and to make the beats ?
I just go with the moment. Usually when I make tracks, I start with what feels good, nothing pre-determined. When I write, I follow the music. The words are in the music.
8/ I know that you'll do a collaboration with Daru jones who work also to defend the Real Hip Hop music... could you talk about this collaboration and about your futures collaborations (name of features...)
Looking forward to working with Brotha Daru. I'm not sure who I will be working with in the near future, but whoever it may be, it will be good.
9/ Could you talk about your new album "truth be told" ?
Truth Be Told was supposed to be a promo/giveaway. The public relations guy just wasn't having that, and the label agreed. This release is supposed to set up 'Year of the K' due early 2008.
10/ Is there a single or a song that you prefer and that you especially want to talk about, to drop ?
Everyone seems to have a different 'favorite' on this record. Just go to www.myspace.com/kbangermusic , listen to each song, and buy the ones that you like. Most likely, you'll enjoy the album in it's entirety.
11/ What are the themes in your album and is there a message that you want to give with this album ?
The theme for Truth Be Told is loose. I just wanted it to reflect what I feel is true in Hip Hop expression, from my point of view.
