REAL HIP HOP SHOW INTERVIEW

KILLA SHA

1/ Hi Killa sha...Welcome on The real hip hop show interview. i know you better since you performed with a song for my Kings from queens Album, but could you introduce yourself for the people who don't know who is Sha-Lumi.

Sha Lumi a.k.a. PRINCE A.D. had the first dj for Mobb Deep out of queenz bridge before they was big.

2/ Could you talk about your first steps in the Hip Hop Game ?
Well, when it started for me, it was for the fun, not about the money... u know, It was something to do. Then, as i got older, i started to see that it was about getting paid and thatz what maid me go harder at it the $ i starting seeing

3/ What the best references for you, your models who gave you the inspiration to be part of this culture ?

I use to check out the Juice Crew and i always like how Big Daddy Kane & Kool G Rap put it down, i come from the came of 252 is 25 TO LIFE like Tragedy, imam thug, capone & nore and thingz... so that's my fam i came from and camp.

4/ you started as A DJ and you worked with the Infamous Mobb Deeb. Could you talk about this part of your life ?

It was for me back then like fun tho i was in it cause i had nothing else to do in life, so i used to dj before i ever touched a mic. It was fun comming up seeing people like Run Dmc and them in queenz ,Onyx, the Juice Crew and thing but im glad i got to see what it was before i started…fun

5/ Do you continue to practice deejaying and what do you think about this art, about the new deejays ?
i alwayz be on my set keeping the skillz up to par … but now a dayz the dj is not like it was. Before, it use to be the dj was the front man and the mc was in the back, but thingz done changed

6/ when did you decide to become Killa Sha the Mc ? could you talk about your experience with your different crews...
Well, it started when i used to do mixtapes for my hood. I used to put my lil rap on my mixtapes intros, but i never told no one who it was spiting... Then, one day, i seen Tragedy and i asked him if he could get on my tape. He was like give me one and i'll get back .Then he seen me like " yo!!!!!!!!!!!! who was that spitting on the intro ?" i told him it was me. He was like "wowowowow !!! "and he asked me to come to the studio one night and i got on the song wit Camron,Rza and him. That was the first big recorded i ever was on, with big people rapping  my intro to the game

7/ You worked with The Most famous mc's from Queens : Tragedy, Craig G, Mobb Deeb... so we could say that you are in the Queens History with all the pionners of the Hip Hop Culture...what could you say about this experience and  to explain to the people why you stay in the shadow to comeback stronger than all these names with your great Album...
Well, it took time for me to learn the game. Before nothing you do, you should know what you doing ... people now a dayz just jump into stuff without doing they homework on thingz, so thatz it took me a few time to get my own album. I had to learn the in'z and out'z of the game. Almost 15 yearz.

8/ What could you say about this album and about the title " GOD WALK ON WATER"
Well, i named my album like that because it was something that peoples always told me... i could not do a album by myself, so i called it 'God walk on water". That's something people think can't be done... but it was with my album (lol).

9/ Could you talk about the themes of the songs, the feats....
Well, the themes are : "Dont let no one tell that you can't do nothing" and the story is my life . point blank. it's the thingz i went threw and how i see thingz.

Well, there is a Joint with ACD , i got Large Pro on there with one of the jointz i put on the kings from queens project . Havoc from Mobb deep is on there. I got Tragedy and Trife The God from Ghost Face Team. Ill Bill & Born Unique... Also, i got some new dudez on there like  Dressa on Mr Ni-Eve joint ...So it was all joint and people that i know and wanted to work with on my album and thingz.

10/ I got the Chance to have the single "FRONT LINES" feat Large Professor on my Kings From Queens Album. i got many great feedbacks on this song as one of the best song of this project for the quality of the beat , Rhymes...  What feedbacks do you have since your album was dropped in stores....
A lot of people knew i could rap but they was shocked that i could hold my own Album. I was alwayz on jointz with people for some featurings... So when they seen that i was doing my thing solo, they was like : "ok, im going to give him a chance" and i took it and ran wit it.

13/ Just a last question about the QB stories.... you represent for QB and i know by the people and the videos that it was not really easy to live overthere. Tragedy was arrested one time more... What could you say to your queens people, to your friends, to Tragedy and to all the fans and real Hip hop peoples... If you have any message to spread to the world, some thanks.. let's do it...

All i got to say is : " keep the snakez out the back yard cause it's alot of them and never let no one tell you can't do nothing ...Keep the faith !!!. I just want to thank all the people that thought of killa sha when i was on my come up and to the haterz that keep me going...and big up to you for having me brotha, thank you.
